Don't Forget!

Sunday, April 7

It was during World War I that daylight
saving time
was adopted by several countries.
The reason that the clocks were moved
forward by an hour, was that it saved
fuel that would
be necessary to produce light in
the late hours of the day.

National Arbor Day
(www.arborday.com)

Arbor Day is a nationally celebrated
observance that encourages tree planting
and tree care. Founded by J. Sterling Morton
in Nebraska in 1872, National Arbor Day is
celebrated each year on the last Friday in April.

In House Celebrity!

Major kudos go out to Doug Baker for this action packed photo of Andy Jakubowitch trail riding through
White Clay Creek State Park. Not only was this
picture used for the cover of Outdoor Delaware, but
it also won grand prize in the Delaware State Parks
50th Anniversary Photo Contest.

made of gold and silver.
