Grad Student Receives Scholarship

Renee Robert, a master's candidate in civil engineering, has been selected to receive a scholarship from the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI). A graduate of Widener University, Robert also won a CRSI scholarship as an undergraduate. A first-year student in CEE's structures research group, Robert is advised by Prof. Jennifer Righman. Her research addresses blast protection for bridge applications.

Established in 1924, CRSI is a trade organization that supports an extensive marketing and promotion effort, as well as research and engineering support for the safe and proper use of materials in reinforced concrete construction.
