Civil engineering student earns national award
Daniel Cacciola, a UD graduate student studying civil engineering, has earned one of fourteen student scholarships nationwide from the International Association of Foundation Drilling (IAFD).

Meehan awarded Fulbright to study in Finland
Professor Chris Meehan has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship. He will spend his sabbatical next year in Finland conducting research on geothermal energy.
Technical Sessions Honor the Late Professor Jerry Yamamuro
Two technical sessions at the 2012 GeoCongress honored the memory of Professor Jerry A. Yamamuro (1954 – 2010). From 1999 to 2003 Professor Yamamuro was a faculty member of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Delaware.
Civil engineering students win GeoPrediction competition
UD CEE undergraduates Matt Dove and James Bailey won the Mohr's Circle award at the 2012 GeoChallenge GeoPredictio competition.
UD Alums named DE Engineers of the Year
Two UD CE alums have been named 2012 "Engineer of the Year" and 2012 "Young Engineer of the Year" by the Delaware Engineering Society.
Huang awarded Maskow Fair award
Professor CP Huang, Donald C. Phillips Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, will receive the 2012 Gordon Maskew Fair Award from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers (AAEE) at the organization's awards luncheon to be held April 26 in Washington, D.C.
Bridge-tastic!
UD's chapter of Engineers Without Borders is in the final stages of construction of a reinforced concrete bridge in Guatemala. The multi-disciplinary team had significant contributions from CEE undergraduate and graduate students.
