N. C. Vasuki

N.C. Vasuki earned his Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering at the University of Mysore in India and his Master of Civil Engineering at the University of Delaware. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Delaware and Diplomate of the American Academy Environmental Engineers. Mr. Vasuki has been General Manager, Chief Executive Officer, Delaware Solid Waste Authority since 1976. He is currently President of the Delaware Engineering Society and Vice President of the International Solid Waste Association. He has more than 60 technical publications and one reference book to his credit and has served as an invited lecturer dozens of organizations and institutions around the world. He has received a number of awards, including Government Engineer of the Year Award, the Roy F. Weston Award, the Edward J. Cleary Award from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the College of Engineering at the University of Delaware. Many of the projects that he has worked on have also received awards.

Engineering professor to be presented AAEE's Gordon Maskew Fair Award

Chin-Pao Huang, Donald C. Phillips Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Delaware, will receive the 2012 Gordon Maskew Fair Award from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers (AAEE) at the organization's awards luncheon to be held April 26 in Washington, D.C.

The award recognizes Huang's contributions to environmental engineering by his exemplary professional conduct, acknowledged achievements in engineering and valuable contributions to the world's environmental quality control.
